Client: Maverick Pools - 2023
Company: Web Response - My Role: Copywriter, Marketing/SEO Specialist, Content Creator
Maverick Pools, a premier pool-installation company, needed more than just a beautiful website—they needed leads, visibility, and a solid online presence to stay ahead of the competition. They wanted their site to rank highly in search engines and make a splash in their local market. As part of Web Response, I took the plunge and played a key role in ensuring the website wasn’t just visually appealing but also strategically optimized to attract, engage, and convert potential customers.
While Maverick Pools built stunning pools, their online presence wasn’t exactly floating—it was sinking. 🚢
Key Challenges:
It was clear: We had to engineer a marketing strategy that would boost rankings, bring in leads, and make potential customers feel confident in choosing Maverick Pools.
1. Smart Keyword Research
Using Moz Keyword Explorer, we identified high-value keywords that struck the perfect balance between search volume and competition. We avoided generic, oversaturated keywords like “swimming pool” and instead focused on localized intent-driven searches like “fiberglass pool company [city name].”
2. Content That Works
Once we had our keywords, I crafted engaging, informative, and persuasive copy for the website. Instead of dull, robotic content stuffed with SEO terms, I wrote conversational, benefit-driven copy that educated potential customers while nudging them toward booking a consultation.
3. On-Page SEO Magic
Beyond content and backlinks, I implemented on-page SEO best practices:
✅Optimized meta titles and descriptions to improve click-through rates.
✅Structured header tags (H1s, H2s, etc.) for better readability and SEO impact.
✅Improved site speed and mobile responsiveness to reduce bounce rates.
4. Backlinks & Authority Boosting
Because Google loves websites that other sites vouch for, I rolled up my sleeves and built a solid backlink strategy.
